Livingston County has become a Purple Heart
County honoring those who have received the Purple Heart Medal as a result of being wounded while engaged in combat with an enemy force, construed as a singularly meritorious act of essential service.
The Livingston County Commissioners are shown here with Leo Halverson (second from left), a military veteran of the Vietnam War. Halverson received multiple Purple Heart Medals and also is a recipient of the
